The City of Austin's Wildland Conservation Division volunteer has several
new guided hikes and volunteer opportunities posted on our website calendar
at
http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/water/wildland/onlineregistration/ecowebevents.cf
m .
There is still space in this Saturday's easy Introductory Hike to the Water
Quality Protection Lands available to all ages. Other exciting
opportunities include a Breeding Bird Survey on the Balcones Canyonlands
Preserve or our final photography-focused hike of the season.
City-hosted activities are free but require pre-registration since they are
limited in capacity (typically 20). Registration is easy to do online by
clicking the blue button on our calendar page (linked above) or our
Division's homepage http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/water/wildland/default.htm.
Please help me inform more of our local citizens about these wonderful
outdoor opportunities by passing this information on to friends, family,
coworkers and neighbors. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any
questions.
Thank you & happy hiking,
Gail
