Hola Chicas!

Happy May Day, all! I have quite fond memories of May Days-past
 when I was
little my mom, sister, and I would pop popcorn, mix it with peanuts, M&Ms
and gum drops, then fill little Dixie or cupcake cups with the mixture. We’d
sneak over to our neighbor’s house and drop them off on their porch, ring
the bell, and RUN so we wouldn’t get caught. I feel spring is like that here
in Austin
a mix of sweets in little packages showing up where you least
expect them, laughing and enjoying the outdoors, and fun with family and
friends! Enjoy!

Here are a few short announcements:

*	Check out www.lowimpactliving.com <http://www.lowimpactliving.com/>
for a pretty cool and easy to use environmental impact calculator.
*	The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Austin
Chapter met meeting TONIGHT (5/1) with the topic: “The Contractor’s Role in
Green Building”.
*	Austin Energy Green Building is hiring
. Check them out at
www.austincityjobs.com <http://www.austincityjobs.com/> . Some close as
early as May 4

I am looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday for the Chicas Verdes
luncheon. Please RSVP to me so I can reserve you a seat! Check out the menu
online. My suggestion is to bring cash in case they are not able to separate
checks. See you there!
