Hello good friends,
I work together with EcoLect, a web-based knowledge base for sustainable materials (www.ecolect.net).
We are involved in creating a sound framework to screen materials against the needs and desires from a sustainability perspective.
I would like to ask you to read the invitation below this email and take a 5-10 minute survey where you can specify what you or your organization want to know when making a material decision.
With your help we can tailor our ideas and start the definition of a sustainability framework that will in return help you and others to make better informed decisions.
This is an important effort since we aim to develop an eco-label for producers using producer data in stead of literature data.
Thanks already for your time and effort. I appreciate it!

-----------Invitation for the survey------------------

Designers and architects, what if there was a label that would help you compare the pros and cons of three different bioplastics, to aid in determining which material is best for use in your product? Builders and homeowners, what if you could go to the hardware store and compare the labels of two different decking materials to help you decide which one is healthier for the environment and better for your project overall?

This is what we are seeking to enable at Ecolect. We want to help you make confident, informed eco-material decisions, but first, we need to hear about what is important to you, what is important to your clients, and what services we can offer to best assist you.

Help us help you by filling out this quick survey.

Get this! To show our thanks, for every 100th completed survey, we'll mail the participant a box of sustainable material samples!
Thank you, and we look forward to sharing the results.
