June 18th is Reusable Bag Day in Austin
Help us raise awareness about reusable bags in Austin! 
Shop with a Reusable Bag on June 18th
Paper or Plastic? - No Thanks! I've got my own - 
On June 18th (and every day) bring your own reusable bag. Reusable Bags are available at participating retailers for about $1. 
Design-a-Bag
-Parents and Kids join us to decorate a canvas bag.
-Free canvas bags and art supplies provided
-10am-12 noon at six retail stores around Austin 
-Each participant gets one Free KAB Reusable Bag*

KAB Grant Applications Due July 14th 
Daydreaming about cooler fall weather? Turn those dreams of fun fall projects into reality by applying for a KAB Neighborhood Beautification Grant. 
This is your chance to improve public space: reintroduce native plants to your neighborhood's creek, remove graffiti, create a habitat garden, showcase local artwork in a pocket park, line your street with trees, and so much more. Keep dreaming but APPLY NOW, grant applications are due by 5pm on Monday, July 14th.

Last Chance to Volunteer for the Lake Travis Parks Cleanup
Help round-up trash (and look for hidden treasure) in the parks that surround Lake Travis on Saturday, June 28th, at the 23rd Annual Lake Travis Parks Cleanup. Volunteer spots are fillin' up quick, so be sure to SIGN-UP TODAY.
After the cleanup we will have a volunteer party with free food, t-shirts and door prizes…you do not want to miss this event! 
The Lake Travis Parks Cleanup is a partnership between Keep Austin Beautiful, Travis County and LCRA.

KAB's Adopt-a-Street Program creates a cleaner, more beautiful environment for everyone who lives, works, shops, and plays along adopted streets. Now you too can adopt your very own street during the month of June.
