[AEN] Internship: Rainforest Partnership

Rainforest Partnership is a nonprofit organization dedicated
to protecting tropical rainforests from deforestation in collaboration with
local communities living in and around rainforests, and creating a connection
between those communities and communities in the U.S. in order to raise public
awareness of the role of rainforests in climate protection. We are a new organization
that has focused the past few months on establishing a network in Ecuador and
Peru and we are currently in the process of selecting the location of our first
project.  We are looking for an intern who will assist in everyday tasks
as well as have the capability to follow through on longer term, independent
projects to meet the goals of our strategic plan.
 
Intern Responsibilities:
 
·       Assist the Executive Director in the running of
the organization
·       Organize and analyze incoming project area data
·       Work
with volunteers and partners in Central Texas and Peru and Ecuador (fluency in
Spanish would be a plus)
·       Contribute in a wide variety of areas and work
on multiple projects concurrently
 
Hours are flexible.  Position is currently unpaid. 
Full-time or part-time, looking for an intern to start immediately, one month
commitment preferred and we would really to like have an intern for the month of
August. Also, we need volunteers to help with small tasks in blocks of time
about two hours.
