[AEN] Green Car Wash this Sunday!

Dear Austin Environmental Groups and Individuals:

I am the Program Coordinator for a local Teen enrichment/summer program offered through Foundation Communities, a non-profit affordable housing organization. This summer, the focus of our program is engaging our teens (middle and high schoolers) in learning about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina. With this knowledge, we hope that they will be inspired to assist their fellow human beings by participating in a Service Learning project in New Orleans. We feel that this is a great opportunity to give the kids some real hands-on experience in leadership and giving that will hopefully leave a lasting impression that turns them into great citizens. As you can imagine, a trip to New Orleans will definitely cost some money, and as a non-profit, we have to resort to fundraising in order to do a project like this. That is where you come in. This weekend, we are having an eco-friendly car wash, using a spray on cleaner that does not require rinsing. To make this a success, we are reaching out to Austin's Green community to both let you know about the event in hopes that you will come by to have your car washed, and also to invite you to promote your organization at the event, if you would like. We would also greatly appreciate it if you would share this message with any friends, family, staff, or other mailing lists you may have. Thank you so much.
