Organic Food Expeditor

Barr Mansion & Artisan Ballroom is the only certified organic events  
facility in the nation. We carefully select and prepare only certified  
organic food. Using the best of the best ingredients requires careful  
attention to detail.


Position includes:

Purchasing food at Whole Foods and the local farmer's market

Food Prep involves cutting and slicing ingredients so that the final  
product is portion controlled but visually aesthetic.

Food Presentation involves a comprehensive approach that takes into  
account the over-all look of the buffet, the individual platters and  
coordinating kitchen and wait staff so that quality and quantity is  
properly maintained.

Food Wrap-Up involves monitoring the removal of the buffet and  
documentation of leftovers.

Events average 2 per weekend, usually Sat. and Sunday night. Our  
season is heavy in the spring and fall and light in summer and winter.

Looking for someone very committed to an organic and sustainable  
lifestyle. Does not require cooking skills but instead knowledge of  
ingredients and flavor combinations. Strong organizational skills are  
important so that spending is kept in line without compromising  
quality or quantity. Looking for past experience in food purchasing.
