Wildland Conservation Education Volunteer Opportunities
Water Week Fest
Date: Thursday and Friday, May 8 and 9 (work one day, or work them both)
Time: 9am to 2pm
Location: Travis County Expo Center
Description: Teach 5th and 6th graders about watersheds, the Edwards aquifer and the Water Quality Protections Lands. Volunteers are needed to staff the watershed model that shows how wildlands can benefit water quality. Click HERE for more information. Trail construction – Slaughter Creek
Date: MULTIPLE DATES: April 19,20,26,27. May 3,4.
Time: 9am to 1pm
Description: The Austin Ridge Riders will be constructing trail on the WQPL’s Slaughter Creek tract. This trail cannot be opened until it is completed.
