Earth Day event at Ruta Maya screens “Kilowatt Ours”
hosted by Texas Clean Water Action and 
CLEAN (Citizens League for Environmental Action Now)


Prepare for Earth Day and find out what you can do for the planet with our screening of “Kilowatt Ours” at Ruta Maya Coffee House, 6-9 p.m., Thursday, April 17. Austin singer/song writers Bill Oliver, Cindy Pitts and Mike Dooley will help us celebrate our love for Mother Earth with music beginning at 6 p.m. The movie begins around 6:45 p.m. followed by a panel discussion with special guest, Jennifer Nazak, permaculture designer and instructor with the Austin Permaculture Guild,  and others.


“Kilowatt Ours” is an inspirational and enlivening film that demonstrates how easy it is to conserve energy as well as the many ways each of us can become part of the renewable energy revolution. The film reveals the connection between personal choices and energy use.
 

Clean Water Action and CLEAN (Citizens League for Environmental Action Now) are hosting an Environmental Film Series the third Thursday of each month as a fundraiser for the two organizations. Suggested donation is five dollars.
